Huangshan Mountain Village

On the southern slope of Taiping Lake, below Mount Huangshan, ten buildings by MAD Architects step with the terrain so that the original mountain levels are kept. Each apartment opens onto a deep, organically shaped balcony that looks over tea fields, lake and mountains, and winding paths connect the buildings through the trees.

The village is part of Taiping Lake Resort and the Huangshan Hidden Tiger Golf Club, a 230-hectare resort with five-star hotels, resort villas, a spa and a Gary Player-designed golf course.

Awards include ArchDaily Building of the Year (2018), National Classic Architecture Gold Award (2013), Five-Diamond Selection of China Golf Course Award (2013) and CIHAF 2013 (Anhui) Best Resort Complex.
